The mission of the Tri-Town Council is to reduce at-risk
behavior and improve the emotional health and safety of Tri-Town youth
by delivering specialized prevention and intervention services that meet
or exceed the needs of our community. ABC HOUSE Since the founding of A Better Chance in 1963, the mission has rested on a single goal: to substantially increase the number of well-educated minority youth capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society. A Better Chance works with students of color in sixth grade through college to help them gain access to broader educational and career opportunities. Web site: www.abetterchance.org
(national) R.I.M. To serve the needs of asylum seekers and those detained
by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service through social services,
spiritual care, and advocacy. Regional Ministries NEW TEEN CHALLENGE Offers a Christian, holistic, rehabilitation program for young adults with life controlling problems such as drugs, crime and alcohol. Its mission is to prepare men and women for ministry at home and abroad. The Seminary undertakes this task as a training partner with the Church so that what is learned on campus may be complemented by the spiritual nurture and the exercise of ministry available through the Church. Over the past 14 years the agency has grown to become a significant service provider and developer of affordable housing, offering one of the most innovative and comprehensive approaches to homelessness in the country. The City Mission Society is an urban social justice agency
serving over 3,000 people each year. It is the second oldest multi-service
agency in the country, addressing the educational, economic and social

The MACUCC is one of 39 Regional bodies of the United Church of Christ. The Massachusetts Conference provides counsel, programs, and resources to assist the churches in the association. The conference exists to foster: mutual assistance among churches; discussion of common concerns; the development of new or renewed congregations; & the support of joint mission efforts in the state and beyond. Web site: www.macucc.org SARA BEST Sara Best is originally from Topsfield. She has been our
missionary in South Africa for the past 18 years working at the African
School of Missions (ASM). Sara has been the director, teacher, mentor,
small group leader, and curriculum developer. ASM is currently seeking
independent accreditation and Sara is currently involved in rewriting
the curriculum to meet those standards. Sara was also once a pastor at
the Hillsboro Church in South Africa until they closed a couple years
ago. The donation we give Sara from the Congregational Church of Topsfield
is very important as she does not receive many funds elsewhere. This line
item is one of the few "World" charities we support.
The United States Foundation for the Children of Haiti
(USFCH) is organized to provide financial, medical, and religious support
and assistance to the needy children of Haiti through its dedication to
Foundation Pour Les Enfants d'Haiti (FEH). FEH is a Haitian organization,
without ties to the Haitian government, which works to save the lives
of children in Haiti. Both the United States and Haitian governments recognize
FEH as an official non-government organization (NGO). PARTNERS WITH HAITI - BETHANY PROJECT The purpose of Partners With Haiti is to exalt Jesus Christ
by assisting the National Evangelical Church in Haiti and elsewhere, in
preaching and teaching the whole counsel of God and providing social assistance
in education, feeding, housing, and job creation. BRIGHT STARS OF BETHLEHEM A Lutheran-based, ecumenically-oriented institution.
It was founded in 2003 to support the ministry of Christmas Lutheran Church

Global Aid Network, the humanitarian aid arm of Campus Crusade for Christ, International, partners with businesses and churches to provide hope and humanitarian aid - including food, clothing, school supplies, and necessity items - to hospitals, orphanages, and schools in needy communities around the world.
