Searching Communications and Office Manager The Congregational Church of Topsfield is seeking an organized, detail-oriented person to work part-time (25 hours per week) as Communications and Office Manager. Reporting to the Senior Pastor, this individual will have primary responsibility for planning, designing, and publishing internal and external church communications and for the smooth operation of the church office, including the supervision of two part-time staff members. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the master calendar of church activities and programs, overseeing the day-to-day function of the computer systems and managing the rental of the church facilities to outside organizations. This challenging opportunity is available to candidates who possess excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, experience with database management and common software applications, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and tact. Qualified applicants should possess strong leadership, teaching and organization skills. This person will oversee the Sunday School program and nursery, ages 0 to 18 years old as well as KidsInC (4th-6th Grade) and Middle School Youth Groups. Responsibilities include recruiting and training teachers as well as planning and implementing special seasonal events like the children's Christmas pageant. This is a vibrant church with a new Senior Pastor and active lay leadership with a dynamic Children and Youth Ministry helping children learn about God's love and share it with others. We are seeking a spiritually devoted and energetic individual whose rapport with children and youth will inspire them and who partners with parents in developing the spiritual growth of their children. This is an interim position (lasting approximately 18 months) but the individual will be able to apply for the settled position once the congregation finalizes its staffing approach through a congregation wide planning process. Salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week for 10 months of the year: mid-August to mid-June.
