Anti-racism

"White Fragility" "Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism" by Robin Diangelo

Zoom Book Discussion starting
Sat. Sept. 12, 11 am - 12:30 pm

For those of us who want to explore anti-racism, reading and discussing "White Fragility" is an excellent place to start because it guides us through self inspection about how racial systems shape our lives, how we uphold them, and how we might interrupt them while allowing us to understand that racism is not restricted to 'bad people."

This group will be limited to 10 people, including non-church members. It will meet twice per month with co-facilitators, Jackie Cassiday and Jessica Sellountos.

To SIGN UP or ask questions, email Jackie Cassiday - jacassiday@comcast.net or Jessica Sellountos- jsellountos@gmail.com

Group members should order the book soon, copy and read the "White Fragility Readers Guide" from this link: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/566247/white-fragility-by-robin-diangelo/

AND read the book's Forward, Author's Note and introduction as preparation for the Sept. 12th meeting.

Looking forward to an awesome experience!
