Reports Along the Way - Day 2

Good morning! We're at breakfast now at Cafe Boheme. Just ordered breakfast and lots of coffee to wake us up!
We fell asleep to the sounds of local birds and beautiful local Guatemalan music.
After breakfast we head to the bank to exchange our money and then off to the lake with a stop at some ruins with a story to tell about colonialism.
The visit to the Mayan ruins was incredible. We had a tour guide that showed us three commons with two royal houses. A competition field where local rubber ball was played. There were ceremonial grounds where we were able to see a local family bring candles, fruit and drinks to honor their ancestors. It was a very solemn and spiritual experience.
